9월 3일부터 7일까지 코엑스에서 개최되는 Kiaf Seoul 2025 선화랑 부스에서는, 여성 추상화가 이정지의 대형 회화를 선보입니다. 자연의 본질과 섭리, 명상적 요소를 화면 안에 정제된 리듬으로 담아낸 이정지의 작업은 한국적 추상의 정수를 구현하며, 한국 미술사에 있어 매우 중요한 위치를 점하고 있습니다. 이와 더불어 한국 추상회화의 원로 작가인 곽훈을 비롯해 시대적 맥락 속에서 자신만의 조형 언어를 확립해온 중견 작가 김정수, 이길우, 채은미 작가의 작품도 함께 소개됩니다. 이만나, 이영지, 강유진, 송지연, 우병윤 등 젊은 세대 작가들은 일상적 감수성을 기반으로 새로운 회화적 해석을 제시하며 동시대적 감각을 더합니다. 또한, 영국을 기반으로 활동하는 Thomas Cameron, Pato Bosich, AI 아트 그룹 Obvious 까지 참여해 세대와 국적, 다채로운 매체의 작업들을 조망합니다.
From September 3 to 7 at COEX, SunGallery will present a major display at KIAF SEOUL 2025, exhibiting a large-scale painting by pioneering female abstract artist ChungJi Lee. Her works, which distill the essence of nature, its principles, and meditative elements into refined rhythms on canvas, embody the quintessence of Korean abstraction and hold a highly significant place in the history of Korean art. Alongside, the booth will exhibit works by senior abstract painter Hoon Kwak, as well as mid career artists such as Jungsoo Kim, Gilwoo Lee, and Eunmi Chae, who have each established distinctive visual languages within their historical contexts. Emerging voices including Manna Lee, Youngji Lee, Yujin Kang, Jiyeon Song, and Byungyoon Woo contribute contemporary perspectives, reinterpreting painting through the lens of everyday sensibilities. In addition, internationally based artists such as Thomas Cameron, Pato Bosich, and the AI art collective Obvious broaden the scope of the presentation, offering a cross generational and cross cultural dialogue across diverse media.
