Sun Gallery presents Chungji Lee: <O: Field of Unity> at Art Basel Hong Kong’s Insights sector, featuring key works from the 1990s. As the only female artist associated with Korean monochrome painting, Chungji Lee explores the performative act of painting through repetition, gesture, and material engagement. In these works, script-like forms emerge from interwoven brushstrokes and knife incisions, evoking rhythm, balance, and unity. Her iconic <○> series, inspired by the Möbius loop, symbolizes the infinite cycle of creation. This presentation highlights Chungji Lee’s pursuit of harmony where material, body, and spirit converge into a timeless field of abstraction.

Sun Gallery將於Art Basel Hong Kong 呈現韓國抽象繪畫代表藝術家李正枝 (Lee Chung-ji)的作品。藝術家長期透過重複性的動作與繪畫行為，探索 「行動性繪畫」(performative painting) 的可能性。在層層疊加的筆觸與刮刀痕跡之中，她逐步建立出畫面中的節奏、平衡與和諧的美學結構。她的創作形成於身體動作與材料物性彼此交織的過程之中，並將繪畫行為本身視為一種持續實踐的創作行動。受莫比烏斯環(Möbius strip)的循環結構啟發，其代表系列《○》象徵沒有起點與終點的時間流動，以及創造力不斷延續的生成過程。畫面中反覆出現的手勢與層層堆疊的表面，呈現出持續生成的能量與流動感，也在作品之中形成一種有機而和諧的秩序。於 Sun Gallery 3D28 展位，我們將聚焦李正枝作品中物質、身體與精神交融所展現的 「和合之美學」。

선화랑은 한국 추상회화를 대표하는 작가 이정지의 작품을 아트바젤 홍콩에서 선보입니다. 작가는 반복과 행위를 통한 회화의 가능성을 탐구하며, 붓질과 나이프의 축적된 흔적 속에서 리듬과 균형 그리고 조화의 미학을 구축해왔습니다. 작가의 작업은 신체의 움직임과 물질의 물성이 긴밀하게 교차하는 과정 속에서 형성되며, 회화 행위 자체를 하나의 수행적 실천으로 확장합니다. 뫼비우스의 원형 구조에서 영감을 받은 대표 시리즈 <○>는 시작과 끝이 없는 순환적 시간과 창조의 지속성을 상징합니다. 반복되는 제스처와 축적된 표면은 끊임없이 이어지는 생성의 흐름을 드러내며, 화면 안에서 유기적 질서를 형성합니다. 선화랑 3D28 부스에서는 물질, 신체, 정신이 하나로 융합된 이정지의 회화가 지닌 ‘화합의 미학’을 조명합니다.
